College Football is Around the Corner!

The OSU Beaver Store is looking for a Concessions Coordinator to help the concessions at Reeser Stadium during the college football season!

 

The Ideal Candidates Responsibilities Include

Scheduling and supervision of staff

1.    Schedule staff for training and to work sporting events, primarily home football games; Additional event responsibility as needed

2.    Work with COO and human resources to recruit, select, and train concessions staff

3.    Must be self-motivated with the ability to achieve deadlines, work effectively and execute directions with little supervision

 

Set up and take down sales area(s) before and after events

1.    Arrange/supervise the loading, transport, set up and take down of fixtures, tables, tents, registers, signage and displays

2.    Work with the Marketing Coordinator on delivery of signage and promotions

3.    Work with the Warehouse Supervisor on scheduling of vehicles and drivers for delivery and pick-up

 

Stocking of merchandise

1.    Work with Merchandise Team to maintain proper selection of merchandise

2.    Transfer merchandise to appropriate location(s) for sales.  Transfer any remaining merchandise back into inventory.

3.    Monitor sales and customer requests to support increased sales and maintain appropriate stock

 

Asset protection

1.    Perform physical inventories of stock prior to events

2.    Reconcile inventory levels after events

3.    Oversee sales transactions performed by staff

4.    Maintain sales history data

5.    Must be familiar with apparel refund and exchange policy

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1.    Retail experience with POS or similar cash register training

2.    Proficient with computer software programs used for inventory

3.    Available to work all home football games for Oregon State University

4.    Able to provide customer service to retail customers and provide staff support

5.    Multitask during large events

What You Need to Qualify:

1.    High School Diploma, or equivalent

2.    At least one year of customer service

3.    At least one year of lead work or staff supervision

Preferred Qualifications

1.    Experience in retail or college bookstore operations

2.    Knowledge of Oregon State University or similar college sporting events

 

Work Environment: This position will require the individual to perform prolonged physical labor, walk, bend, and stoop, in the performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. This position performs a lot of walking and/or standing in an open environment. There is work with a computer and phone. Your work is expected to interact with customers.
