We are looking for a General Merchandise Office Assistant at our Corvallis location.
The Ideal Candidates Responsibilities Include
Buying Office – 50%
1. Assist Buyers with purchase order entry, inventory maintenance, reporting, and filing
2. Assist in inventory analysis and allocation
3. Facilitate store-to-store transfers as required by the supervisor
4. Communicate with vendor partners and warehouse via email and phone to resolve shipping discrepancies and problems including vendor claims
Website – 50%
1. Assist Website Specialist with web order fulfillment
2. Process orders through the website or through POS as necessary
3. Handle customer queries via email and phone
4. Upload new products and maintain content on company website
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Follow established company directives, policies, guidelines, and expectations
2. Show consistent dependability in attendance, handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
3. Work independently and as part of a team
4. Ability to work and communicate in a professional manner
5. Use sound judgment when making decisions
6. Flexible work schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours to support special sales and/or sporting events
7. MS Office, such as Word and Excel
8. Basic data entry skills
What You Need to Qualify:
Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant retail environment
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge and use of Adobe Photoshop
2. Ability to use a digital camera
3. Experience using POS systems
4. Understanding of OSU or similar University Store setting
Work Environment: This position will work in an open office setting. Your work is primarily indoors and will include extended periods of time sitting in front of a computer, using an office phone and other standard office equipment. Due to the nature of the business, you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull carts and maintain store fixtures.
